At first glance I thought you had been using the art supplies for purposes other than what they were intended for. Well, at least you find me and Sandy inspirational.
Seriously, I say go for it, my friend. If there is one thing I learned over the course of my working life it's this; if you love what you're doing it's not work. If you hate what you're working at it's just plain misery.
I took courses in multimedia programming as well as desktop publishing and web design back in the early 90s. Even worked as web master for a major US Navy command for a couple of years.
After 3 hours on a bus (I did dull the first leg down with a pint of IPA in one of my youthful boozeries), I'm delighted to get in from the cold and find Wiltshires answer to Andy Warhol has got his hands on my fine image - all you need now is the blond wig!
Web design sounds like a brill idea - you can do it from a layby on a laptop with a cup of tea or even on a warm spring evening with your back against and Avebury stone (with the promise of a visit to the Red Lion afterwards of course)
