pulmonaria (dark vader)
or lungwort
“may the flora be with you”
“ok Dave your turn”
what’s this
only seen in three other gardens, my mother’s mine, and this one in Glastonbury
“ps,,,,, bet the last garden get’s copied to a yard in Fidalgo island”
20th of February and I've just heard the first ice cream van of summer,
“oi get a life Mr softy and give us a 69 with a flake”
(wonder why he drove off at 70mph looking scared)
9' o’clock this morning i downloaded it, unzipped it, and loved it, the sound of oxford filled the room and is still playing now, think only Radiohead can do this and long may they doing it, seems this album may have been inspired by the time spent in Savernake forest recording in rainbow’s http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/articles/blogs/finding-radioheads-king-of-limbs this link will fill you in on it all, always thought this fella was king there
“so look’s like it another camp at Savernake to find this one then”
this is a follow on to the last blog, yes it’s all grey out there still but on today’s walk apart form all the new bud’s on the tree’s and the regreening of spring one thing did stand out, the birds and one little fella in particular the gardener’s friend, the show off, or the robin, love these bird’s even had one eat fro my hand once, (they love grated cheese or suet, try it) these two loved the camera,
and now the folk law bit, a little brown bird saw Christ on the cross wearing the crown of thorn’s so he swooped down to remove it, as he did he pricked his chest.
odd time of the year this spring is just starting to show but it’s still all abit grey, the feeling’s are all there to get out and about but everywhere looks the same so i might as well show you “west Swindon” where i live
“nice ah” well walk fifteen minute’s and you find all this
or even this
and yes this is still Swindon and to prove it “look a pretty glass call centre”
but it do’se overlook this
“and yes we’ve even got the odd redneck or two here as well”
“well hello again Billy here” think I'm starting to win the battle against this flu thing, so I'm back here with a late what Poppy, Charlie, and Billy did at Christmas, was it a kiss from a sea lion or maybe just that Puerto de la Cruz thing that happens every year that i was to ill to spot this year “what ever” don't think i could ever say anything bad about Puerto after all these years of going there, Puerto is just Puerto were Catholicism meet’s Zen and we pagan’s can enjoy mid winter solstice in peace, did miss Christmas eve night but pop and Charlie did their best dressed up to the 9’s and hit the town (it’s a Spanish thing) Christmas day was the normal 80 degree’s + but still laid up so never got my swim in the sea, boxing day “fit at last” so off to loroparque love this place, it’s not like a zoo it’s more of an ark
his hand’s will never end up as an ashtray’s in some penthouse flat, and as for more “ahhh” moment’s “mum’s had to many and i want a cuddle” and as for the sea lion’s just visit the holding pool’s after to see what show offs they really are,
“let’s dance”
did get one more photo yesterday and honestly this one is not enhanced,,,
,,,as sure as my name is Billy Bagwash
“look’s like it maybe time to come out of hibernation” think I'll stretch out an arm grab a hobgoblin (other beer’s are available) scratch my arse, and parp, (but not all at the same time) this has seemed to have been a long winter, think I've been busy elsewhere but it’s all done now so i think Billy's back,
so i took the camera out to try and get this start of spring thing
“yes I've enhanced some” but felt the mood needed it the colour coming out of the grey of winter.
always save the best till last, my all time favourite song of the legend that is Morrissey but this time it’s the official video not live, because i feel the two went hand in hand and made the concept that is every day is like Sunday (i still say this video should have been shot in black and white)
the smiths and me well think it’s just that growing up thing in the 60’s, we all seemed to have views on everything love, hate, war, meat, and puberty, back then our lives were lived in colour but all our media was in black and white, hence one of my favourite films, Saturday night Sunday morning.
“so the smiths,,,,debate”
“i suppose that’s it with the smiths you either loved them or didn't quite get it”
“In our lifetime those who kill
The newsworld hands them stardom”
“ok you lucky, lucky people”
I've just decided it’s going to be the smiths and Morrissey week on this here blog, so your going to get one of these every day “enjoy”.
“and Morrissey we do forgive you for the brief appearance at Swindon” it has that effect on me too.
